Bianco Invisibile

“When you go open a new route, you never really know what you’re getting into. But that’s part of the game. The beauty of these climbs is that, once you’ve done them, you somehow knew deep down you could do it.”

On March 7, 2025, Grivel athletes François Cazzanelli and Giuseppe (Bepi) Vidoni completed the first ascent of Bianco Invisibile, a new route on the East side of the Aiguille Blanche de Peuterey, climbing it in a single day from the valley floor.

The route (6c – M7 – AI5) develops through 800 meters of technical mixed climbing, preceded by an approach of 1600 meters in elevation gain, and culminating at an altitude of 3939 meters.

François and Bepi finished the route and descended back to the valley in just 19 hours.
